“Music speaks to my soul. It always has. And strings are the instruments that resonate the most. Listening to the guitar or violin can create such an intimate feeling. A fiddle, lightening. When thinking about the body of work Nostalgic Notes, I sought to bring in the emotion of music and color to the viewer. Inspired by listening to musicians play at an open mic night, at the symphony and on the radio. And listening to music from the 70’s and 80’s brings a feel of nostalgia.”
