Currently working on a series, Twilight Speaks - where the light meets the dark. In art, much like in architecture and in most creative endeavors, you get an idea, feel inspired, something that pulls you in. But it is really through the painting process and sometimes several pieces in that you get. a real sense or finally realize the idea that you have, fully. This series actually started out as Caesura . Referencing the pause in music, a moment in life where you just hold your breath waiting for the next sequence of events to move forward. However, after several paintings, experimenting with color and the idea of using music to symbolize a moment in time, I realized that this series is really about how sometimes in life we experience a moment so horrific, that in those darkest of dark moments, we find the lightest light.
